Mini Reminder

Good morning and merry Christmas to you all. I hope that the day is treating you well and that you have at least had one smile so far. I recognise that today is a hard day and no doubt will be filled with challenges for many, so I just wanted to take a moment to remind you that if you are struggling to just stop for a moment, remind yourself that this is only one day and you are capable of doing anything for one day. If your family is arguing step out for some fresh air, if there is conflict over the dinner table, tell yourself repeatedly that it is one meal, it will not make you double in size or make something terrible happen or cause any of those other thoughts that the eating disorder tells you to be true. If all else fails, put your favourite movie on, go for a walk, change your scenery. Do what you need to do in order to take care of yourself. Be kind to yourself. I’m sending good thoughts and love…now, I must go and play jenga with my little brother.
